Behind The Scenes on How YANGDA Produces Its High-Precision Gimbal Cameras
YANGDA has been a trusted drone manufacturer since 2014. We are also a popular manufacturer of drone gimbal cameras. Aside from providing high-quality products, we also place high importance on our customers by providing technical consultation and 24/7 chat through our website. For this reason, it’s not surprising that YANGDA has become an established name for gimbal cameras worldwide.
You don’t have to take our word for it. In this article, you will witness the step-by-step process of how we produce our YANGDA gimbal cameras. Here’s the behind-the-scenes look at how we do it, from assembly to testing.
The Manufacturing Journey
We understand that every detail matters, from real-time surveillance to saving lives. Therefore, we have decided to be transparent about our services and show you the behind-the-scenes of how we produce our gimbal cameras. Because you matter to us, you can be assured that our quality control starts when the parts arrive at our plant and continues until the cameras are available on the market.
Precision Assembly
The quality assessment begins when the parts and materials arrive at our factory. Our materials undergo strict material inspections of their dimensional accuracy, surface integrity, and structural quality. Only components that pass YANGDA’s standards will proceed to the next phase.
The different parts, such as the motors, bearings, and wiring harnesses, are installed with utmost care. Every screw is tightened, and every cable is connected to the right areas to ensure the durability.
As for the camera lens, we assemble it by hand for precise alignment, as we are aware that even a small mistake can compromise its functionality.
Technical Debugging
After basic assembly, the system undergoes its first tests. Mounted on specialized rigs, this piece is rotated and tilted through various angles to check the motion’s smoothness, response accuracy, and mechanical balance.
This step detects mechanical or calibration issues before they become bigger problems in the future. Finally, when all the intricate parts are working, that’s when we put together all the other parts to complete the final form of our gimbal camera.
Rigorous Testing
But the initial test is not enough. Gimbal cameras are subjected to extreme environmental conditions, and we have to make sure that our camera can withstand these harsh environments.
Lab Tests
The resilience of the YANGDA gimbal camera is tested by subjecting it to low and high temperatures, ranging from -20°C to 55°C. It also undergoes the High-Frequency Vibration Image Stabilization test to ensure it can withstand extreme temperatures and turbulence.
We also need to ensure that the camera will last. That is why it also undergoes the aging test, where the gimbal cameras are operated continuously to ensure that they can be used for a long time.
“We monitor any sign of performance degradation to ensure that each camera maintains its precision even after an extended period.” - Yangda engineer
Field Trials
To ensure that our gimbal cameras serve their purpose, as the final process, our engineers mount gimbals onto drones to test them live outdoors. By using specialized software, we fine-tune our gimbal cameras’ performance to optimize them for real-world missions.
