Product Overview

As the latest addition to the Storm Eye Series, the 40IE-HTM50 is upgraded with 40X optical zoom, delivering clearer and sharper captures during the shooting. Complemented by its other advanced features — including a 1080P EO camera, UHD thermal imager, 5KM laser rangefinder, and a refined AI tracking system — this payload camera weighs under 2kg only, offering a lightweight yet powerful solution for aerial surveillance, disaster response, and cargo delivery across a wide range of drones and VTOL platforms.

Upgraded EO Camera, Sharper Capture
Equipped with an upgraded 40X optical zoom and 1920x1080 resolution, the 40IE-HTM50 enables operators to identify image details from long distances without loss of clarity.

IR Thermal Imaging, Smarter Night Protection
Featuring a 1280x1024 resolution and 50mm lens thermal imager, the 40IE-HTM50 empowers intuitive monitoring even at nights, with multiple color palettes optional.

5km LRF, Target Under Control
Configured with a 5 km laser rangefinder, the 40IE-HTM50 provides precise target location, altitude, and distance measurement up to 5 kilometers.

4K Wide Angle, Extended Coverage

Integrating a separate 4K (3840x2160) wide-angle lens, the 40IE-HTM50 delivers an extensive field of view, capturing scenes with exceptional richness and details.

3-Axis Gimbal, Flexible Aerial Vision
Mounted on a 3-axis gimbal, the 40IE-HTM50 supports omnidirectional vision with yaw rotation 360°and pitch rotation +45°to -164°, enabling a comprehensive footage for accurate surveillance and tracking.

AI-Powered Targeting, Detection in Precision
Configured with AI recognition and tracking, the 40IE-HTM50 automatically identifies and follows suspicious vehicles and individuals, while simultaneously transmitting precise location data to control center.

Fly By Camera, Autonomous Tracking

A surveillance VTOL can follow and monitor a stationary or moving target of interest along a routine patrol route if the onboard drone zoom camera tracks it. Additionally, the target's coordinates can be copied and shared with the command center. Once the monitoring is complete, the VTOL drone can return to its original patrolroute.

Monitor Target Movement Status Via GCS

The pilot can use the LAUNCH GCS to monitor the target's movement status, such as real-time updated GPS coordinates, the distance between the target and the drone, as well as the distance between the target and the HOME position.

Fast Deploy & Easy Operation

Applying the self-developed YDPORT mechanism and YDLINK software, the 40IE-HTM50 achieves both hassle-free assembly/disassembly and intuitive operation, making drone surveillance attainable and adaptable on most drones and VTOLs.

Anti-Scald Protection
The thermal imager in this gimbal camera features a built-in burn protection mechanism. It can withstand direct sun exposure for up to 30 seconds without permanent damage, recovering fully within 24 hours. This ensures reliable performance even in challenging conditions.

MAVLINK Compatible
Storm Eye 40IE-HTM50 drone gimbal is compatible with drones powered by PX4 and Ardupilot, making integration relatively convenient.
