Overview
The YANGDA Sky Whale Electric VTOL Drone is specially developed for security surveillance, LiDAR mapping, and long-distance cargo transport. It is equipped with four lift motors and one fixed-wing propulsion motor, enabling vertical take-off and ascent in a quadcopter-like configuration. Once airborne, the aircraft transitions to a propeller-driven fixed-wing horizontal cruising mode.

The Sky Whale VTOL airframe and critical components, including the pitot tube, are reinforced with waterproof protection, achieving an IP54 rating. The system maintains stable operation in drizzle and intermittent rain, supporting mission-critical tasks such as search and rescue and rapid inspection-ensuring uninterrupted performance when it matters most.

Safer Flight with SRTH Algorithm
The Sky Whale VTOL can be equipped with the XTurbo intelligent battery, featuring the SRTH (Smart Return-to-Home) algorithm. SRTH dynamically predicts remaining flight endurance based on real-time power consumption, flight distance, and battery health. Compared with traditional voltage-triggered return, it provides greater accuracy and reliability, effectively reducing the risk of low-battery forced landings.

13 m/s Wind Resistance
With a powerful propulsion system combined with aerodynamic optimization, the Sky Whale VTOL maintains stable flight even in wind speeds of up to 13 m/s. It is well suited for operations in high-wind applications, especially patrol missions in costal, mountainous or high-altitude regions.

Its 3.5-hour extended endurance significantly reduces takeoff and landing cycles. Its optional 4G or Starlink communication enables real-time flight data and video transmission, improving operational efficiency by over 50%.

Emergency Material Transport
Challenge: Since roads and urban infrastructure are damaged in disaster zones, emergency material transport demands higher precision and cannot be achieved via traditonal transportation methods.
Sky Whale VTOL Solution: A quick-release cargo bay design enables the delivery of up to 10 kg of emergency supplies per flight, including medical supplies, communication equipment, and life-saving gear. The system supports multi-point landing and remote delivery capabilities, ensuring precise deployment in complex terrain.

Maritime Operations
Challenge: Shipboard takeoff and landing are difficult due to the lack of fixed reference points and compass interference.
Sky Whale VTOL Solution: The "Follow Me" mode enables the UAV to take off from and land on moving vessels. While the differential GPS frees the VTOL from compass calibration and is resistant to vessel electromagnetic interference. And the ptional 4G or Starlink communication enable beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations.
